My love for beauty, fashion, creativity, and expression began with my mother.
She taught me how to do makeup, how to carry myself with confidence, and how to never leave the house without being put together. Some of my favorite memories are going with her to Walmart to pick out sewing patterns and taking them to her friend to bring the designs to life. I remember sitting in those rooms completely in awe.
My mother was elegance, strength, beauty, and heart all wrapped into one.
She loved God, fashion and makeup, and honestly… neither of us liked wearing the same outfit twice. That love for personal style, creativity, and self-expression naturally became a part of who I am and eventually inspired House of Telisa.
Her favorite color was purple.
Mine became pinks, reds, neutrals, and earth tones.
Different expressions — same spirit.
As I step into a new season of life, I’m continuing to evolve creatively and personally. With 40 approaching, I’m embracing growth, refinement, and fresh vision — even seeking new inspiration and styling perspectives because iron sharpens iron.
My mother could blow.
I can speak.
But what we both carried was light.
Strength.
Elegance.
Beauty.
Grace.
A little rough around the edges sometimes — but with a big heart.

House of Telisa was inspired by the women who taught me that beauty could coexist with strength.
The women who carried themselves with elegance, faith, resilience, softness, and fire all at once.
Fashion was never just clothing to us.
It was expression.
Creativity.
Confidence.
Art.
My mother taught me that presentation mattered — not from vanity, but from pride, care, and self-respect.
From makeup counters to sewing patterns, from bold looks to timeless beauty, those moments shaped the way I now see style, storytelling, and identity.
And oooweee… she could tell a story, hunty — for hours.
Back then, they were just conversations.
Now, they feel like treasures.
I appreciate and value every second of those moments far more now than I ever could measure.
House of Telisa carries that spirit forward:
